Small businesses rely on accountants to navigate tax code

Nearly three-quarters of U.S. small businesses use accountants in part because the tax code is so complex, according to the Sage Small Business Accountants Usage 2013 Study. As new regulations, such as those under the Affordable Care Act, go into effect and the tax code remains at its current level of complexity, small businesses will continue to depend on the services of accountants, the study predicts.
