Sprout plans interactive game show for preschool set

Sprout's new programming will include "Ruff-Ruff, Tweet and Dave," which is being touted as the first game show for preschool viewers that lets them participate via smartphones or tablets, as well as three other series it is acquiring. Sprout, which is owned by NBCUniversal, PBS and Apax Funds, also is renewing "The Chica Show" for a second season and "LazyTown" for a third, executives said.
