Staples signs onto greener plan for electronic waste

Staples has signed onto an environmental initiative that prohibits shipping electronic waste overseas and prescribes more sustainable methods for recycling gadgets that have come to the end of their lives. The retailer will use recyclers certified by the e-Stewards program to dispose of electronics turned in under the free technology-recycling program at more than 1,500 U.S. stores.
