Texas cancer facility adopts Elekta's linear accelerators

The University of Texas' MD Anderson Cancer Center has acquired two units of the Versa HD linear accelerators from Elekta. The technology, which was recently cleared by the FDA, features the company's Agility multileaf collimator that allows for more precise tumor targeting and better preservation of healthy tissue through high-precision, high-speed beam shaping.
