Texas university launches accelerated teaching program

Midwestern State University in Texas has introduced a program that will help individuals with bachelor's degrees in math and science earn a teaching certificate in just one summer. College officials say they developed the program because there is a shortage of middle- and high-school teachers in these subject areas.
