Votes today in Del., R.I. could advance marriage bills

Marriage equality bills in the Delaware and Rhode Island legislatures could advance today. A Rhode Island Senate committee is expected to decide whether to send a bill to the floor, and in Delaware the full House could approve a bill and send it to the Senate. Earlier today the Rhode Island Senate Republican caucus announced its unanimous support for the legislation, saying in a statement, "we believe that freedom means freedom for everyone, and that every citizen of Rhode Island deserves the freedom to marry the person they love."
