Wis. emergency officials aren't ready to retire sirens ... yet

Emergency weather and police alerts via cellphone is the wave of the future, but Wisconsin emergency management officials are not ready to retire their tornado sirens just yet, believing a little redundancy is a good thing. Emergency management directors say sirens have pros and cons, but deciding whether to keep them as cellphone alerts become more prevalent could come down to maintenance and repair costs.
