Deutsche Telekom executive: T-Mobile is struggling to compete

Deutsche Telekom told the Federal Communications Commission that its T-Mobile USA unit has come under pressure in the marketplace, not only from leading providers AT&T and Verizon Wireless, but also from prepaid carriers. In a filing related to the proposed purchase by AT&T, Deutsche Telekom Senior Vice President Thorsten Langheim said T-Mobile "has been struggling to remain a strong competitor in the wireless marketplace."
