Amtrak touts more efficient service with $32.7M upgrade in Fla.

A $32.7 million project at an Amtrak maintenance facility in Hialeah, Fla., is expected to provide more efficient maintenance and service for equipment used for long-distance routes, according to Amtrak. "The upgrade provides our mechanical forces a state-of-the art facility that will increase efficiency, providing a better work environment for employees and equipment for passengers," said Tommy Farr, Amtrak master mechanic.
