CFPB will study financial contracts' arbitration clauses

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is studying the use of arbitration clauses in contracts for financial products such as checking accounts, credit cards and payday loans. Such clauses keep legal disputes out of court. Questions the CFPB will consider include how frequently the clauses are used and how arbitration affects consumers and companies.
