NYC teachers grade exams during school day under new policy

In New York City, some principals are questioning a new system in which teachers are asked to grade state exams during the school day. Under the previous system, teachers were able to grade the tests after school. One principal said the policy will cost her school $11,625, in part because it will need to hire substitute teachers. Principals also say losing teachers during the day disrupts learning and scheduling.
