Amazon's data trove looks appetizing, advertisers say

Amazon is starting to tap into its vast trove of consumer data to provide smarter, more effective online ads. Analysts see an Amazon ad network as a worthy rival to Facebook, Google, AOL and Yahoo. "In today's marketing world, data is gold and Amazon is Fort Knox," said Jeff Lanctot, chief media officer at Razorfish.
