Apple CEO Tim Cook said mobile payments are "just out of the starting block," an indication that Apple is taking its customary cautious approach to a technology still maturing, writes Lance Whitney. "Apple will undoubtedly equip the iPhone and iPad with mobile payments technology at some point.
