Cervel raises funds for transcranial magnetic therapy studies

A funding round has pulled in $14.1 million for Cervel Neurotech, which is working on technology to treat pain, depression and other conditions by using coil-generated magnetic fields to stimulate select parts of the brain. The Foster City, Calif.-based startup will use the funding to conduct clinical trials of its transcranial magnetic therapy device.
