Cigna reaches telehealth deal with MDLive

A telemedicine agreement that allows health plan members to consult with any of 2,200 internal medicine, pediatric and family practice doctors through e-mails, telephone calls or online videos was finalized between Cigna and MDLive. Remote consultations, to be launched in 2014, can only be used by eligible plan members for non-emergency health issues such as rashes, headaches and colds.
