Cox CEO's 2014 retirement to trigger succession plan

Jimmy W. Hayes, president and CEO of Cox Enterprises, has announced he will retire in April 2014. As part of the succession plan, John Dyer, the company's chief financial officer, will become chief operating officer next month before assuming the top job after Hayes steps down. Douglas Franklin, president of Cox Media Group, will become the parent company's CFO, and Bill Hoffman, executive vice president of Cox Media Group, is being promoted to president of the unit.
