FDA holds meeting on global cardiovascular registry consortium

The FDA met with members of the public Monday to gather input on its plan to create a global consortium of cardiovascular medical device registries, which initially will focus on transcatheter valves. Issues raised at the meeting include the need to report on global safety and effectiveness outcomes, funding strategies and which countries to add to the consortium.
