Feds report launch of more than 50K HIT jobs since HITECH

The ONC and CMS have issued a fact sheet stating that more than 50,000 jobs in health IT have been launched since the HITECH Act became law in 2009. The agencies also said that 17,049 HIT professionals have received training from community colleges as of January, while 820 master's-level and postgraduate HIT professionals graduated as of September 2012.
