Electric-vehicle maker Fisker has been driven to the brink of bankruptcy, with investors blaming a combination of overly generous government loans, technical problems, poor strategic planning, and a decline in the price of gasoline. "It's a real shame, the car itself was beautiful," says Omaha Steaks CEO Bruce Simon, who got a $100,000 refund on a Fisker Karma that he says spent as much time in the shop as on the road.
