NYC common core math assessment better than expected, some say

Educators from some New York City schools expressed relief as administration of the Common Core State Standard math assessment got off to a better start than expected. "There was a little bit of a sigh of relief when they started going through the test," teacher David Baiz said of his eighth-grade students. "They felt like they were capable of doing it."
