Odierno discusses Army's plan for women in artillery positions

The Army is conducting a pilot program to integrate female soldiers into artillery positions, but it hasn't released details about how it will bring women into direct ground combat units. Army officials plan to conduct assessments over the next two years on how to best open up those positions to women, Army Chief of Staff Gen. Ray Odierno told the Senate Armed Services Committee this week.
