Oversight will be impeded if Cordray doesn't testify, Waters says

Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director Richard Cordray should testify before the House Financial Services Committee because failing to hear from him will "impede Congressional oversight," Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., writes in a letter to Chairman Jeb Hensarling, R-Texas. She says it's "inappropriate and unwarranted" to deny Cordray before his recess appointment is addressed specifically by a court.
