Patients with failed AGB gain better results with revisional surgery

Revisional surgery proved to be safe and effective in patients who experienced adjustable gastric banding failure, researchers reported at the annual meeting of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons. Women, those younger than 50 and patients whose AGB was in place for less than five years showed better postoperative excess weight loss following revisional surgery, researchers added.
