Rockefeller accuses ad industry of stalling Do Not Track

Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va., accused the online ad industry of "dragging its feet" on development of Do Not Track -- and "doing it purposely" -- during a heated Senate commerce committee hearing Wednesday. Do Not Track is "still just an idea, not a reality," and leaves advertisers free to "continue to collect vast amounts of consumer data," Rockefeller said.
