Pentagon officials on Wednesday told the Senate Armed Services Committee that Congress needs to authorize another round of base closure and realignment, but responses from lawmakers suggested that the Pentagon's BRAC requests are unlikely to gain traction. "I don't think the majority of the members can be convinced at this point," Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., told reporters.
