VA may not be prepared for ACA to take effect

The Department of Veterans Affairs may be underestimating the number of veterans who will turn to the VA for health coverage after provisions of the Affordable Care Act take effect in 2014, according to members of the House Veterans' Affairs Committee. The VA's 2014 budget plans for a 1.3% increase in the number of veterans the VA treats. The committee planned to question the VA about its estimates today.
