Visa and Fandango's Tixpress turns mobile phone into ticket

Visa and Fandango are partnering on the Tixpress location-based movie listings and quick-pay method, using the service as an attraction for affluent moviegoers. The Fandango mobile application will sport a virtual marquee of movies that can be paid for via linked Visa accounts, turning the smartphone into a virtual ticket with a bar code that can be scanned by theater staffers.
