Wash. city council tentatively plans light-rail extension

The Tacoma, Wash., City Council appears to want the Link light rail extended from downtown to the Hilltop section of the city. The 2.3-mile extension, which would cost $133 million, is meant to increase riders and spur economic growth. The council will vote on the plan next week.
