San Antonio-based Whataburger will sell its signature condiments at H.E.B. supermarkets in Texas and Mexico this summer, the first retail deal for the burger chain's original mustard and two kinds of ketchup. Expanding the brand through retail deals is proving a growing trend, with restaurant chains including Frisch’s Big Boy, White Castle and Umami now selling signature products at the grocery store.
