HHS group recommends incentives for physicians to use EHRs

An HHS advisory group is recommending that federal contracts with health plans include provisions to reward physicians for good performance, including using certified e-health records. The same committee rejected a previous proposal for Medicare to pay physicians more for using EHRs.
