Insurers aggressively lower premiums to attract business, survey finds

A quarterly survey by the Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers indicates insurers are aggressively lowering premiums to attract business. The survey found general liability premiums have declined 12% since the first quarter of 2006. Commercial liability and commercial auto declined slightly more than 10%, and workers' compensation dropped more than 9%.
