Study: Companies' Q4 capital expenditures dipped further

A report by the Georgia Institute of Technology's Financial Analysis Lab indicates the biggest U.S. corporations cut their capital spending in the fourth quarter to the lowest level since the lab began assembling statistics in 2000. "Companies are looking for confirmation that the recovery has taken hold before increasing capital spending again," professor Charles Mulford said.
