Life insurance costs less than most consumers think, study finds

Most consumers significantly overestimate the price tag of life insurance, according to a study by LIMRA and the LIFE Foundation. When asked to estimate the price of a particular policy, respondents' answers were almost three times above the typical cost, the study found.
