Ariz. defense firms take hit from sequestration, officials say

The defense industry in Arizona is already feeling the pain of sequestration, officials say. "The general feedback from the supply chain in our market, which is one of the top 25 in the United States, is some of them have not seen an order for a year and a half from the larger [original equipment manufacturers], and they're burning through their last contracts," said Barry Broome, president and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council.
