Intensive glucose therapy improves some markers

Older type 2 diabetes patients who underwent intensive glucose-lowering therapy attained better adiponectin, lipid and triglyceride levels at nine months, a study indicated. However, the intensive therapy did not appear to improve cardiovascular outcomes in patients, researchers reported in Diabetes Care.
