Job cuts mount at U.S. banks, but some areas see growth

Some college graduates are giving up the idea of working in the banking industry, given that banks have cut more than 31,000 jobs in the past year, experts say. Still, some banking jobs are in demand, such as wealth management and compliance. "There are three or four federal regulatory bodies that could walk into a bank store at any moment," said Marc Hutto, founder of Reveal Global Intelligence. "Banks are hiring as fast as they can for these audit and compliance roles."
