According to The Hartman Group, 44% of shoppers make a list before going to the grocery, while 33% do so before shopping at a club store and 32% do so before going to a mass-merchandise store. "Consumers are shopping more often, so the risks and the consequences of forgetting something are reduced because the next trip is only a day or so away," the researcher says.
