Oncologists: Prices of cancer drugs must come down

More than 100 oncologists from 15 countries write in the journal Blood that 11 of 12 cancer drugs approved last year cost more than $100,000 annually, which limits patients' access to life-saving treatments. The mean monthly cost of cancer drugs increased from $5,000 a month to $10,000 a month in 10 years. "Advocating for lower drug prices is a necessity to save the lives of patients," the specialists write.
