UP partners with local police in Texas for UP CARES event

Union Pacific partnered with police in Midland, Texas, for a rail-safety ride to provide officers with a first-hand perspective of train operations. The project is part of UP's Crossing Accident Reduction Education and Safety program, which aims to heighten awareness about railroad safety, including the prevention of vehicle incidents, said Roger Rhoderick, UP police senior special agent. "Be aware of your surroundings and stop, look, listen and live at the railroad crossings," Rhoderick said.
