Professionals hold STEM workshop for girls

Female engineers and other women working in science, technology, engineering and math recently gathered at the College of Southern Maryland for a workshop aimed at inspiring girls to consider STEM-related careers. Besides informing girls about career options, officials with the annual Women + Math Conference said they aim to boost girls' confidence in pursuing a subject in which they may be unsure of themselves.
