Report: Search is growing, but CPC has plateaued

The search marketing business is still growing, but the amount brands are willing to pay for a single click appears to have hit a ceiling, according to Kenshoo's Global Search Advertising Trends report. The global average CPC was $0.39 in Q1 2013, a decline of 2 cents year-over-year. The rate marks a five-quarter low, even as search spending increased 15% from the same period the year before.
