Should all S4s have an 8-core processor? Samsung exec says no

Galaxy S4 smartphones sold in the U.S. will have Qualcomm's quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, while S4s sold elsewhere will be based on the eight-core Exynos 5 processor designed and made by Samsung Electronics. Samsung's J.K. Shin, however, doesn't expect this to make a significant difference with U.S. consumers. There are indications that initial supplies of the S4 will be limited due to "overwhelming global demand," a Samsung representative said.
