Utah begins work on 150 road projects worth $700M

The Utah Department of Transportation begins work on 150 road projects statewide worth about $700 million. Among the top 10 projects are the Interstate 80 drainage pipe replacement; widening of seven miles of pavement and bridges on Interstate 15; and the 33-mile Southern Parkway project. "Last year ... [w]e spent about $1.4 billion and had about 200 projects -- a record breaking year for us," said UDOT Spokesman John Gleason. "This year it’s scaled down just a little bit."
