RDs can help bust myths on digestive health

Growing public interest in digestive health has increased the popularity of functional foods and probiotics as well as the number of books and diets for conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome, celiac disease and diverticulitis, experts said. Dietitians are needed to unravel some of the confusion about digestive health and to help bust myths about food restrictions, fiber, detoxes, supplements and gluten-free diets.
