Samsung's new smartphone will have a quad-core processor

Samsung Electronics has introduced the Exynos 4 Quad processor, which it plans to use in the new Galaxy S smartphone, set to be unveiled next week. The quad-core processor is based on the Cortex-A9 processor design from ARM Holdings, and Samsung is providing samples of the chip to HTC, Motorola, Nokia and other handset manufacturers.
