The South Shore Equine Clinic & Diagnostic Center in Plympton, Mass., boasts a colic-certified large animal surgeon, the only one in the area outside of Tufts University, as well as a new equine MRI machine, only the 15th standing MRI unit in the country for horses. The unit precisely images bone and soft tissue simultaneously, increasing the veterinarian's ability to detect a problem and ultimately saving the owner money on targeted treatment.
