Affluent consumers embrace mobile

More than half of affluent U.S. consumers own more than one mobile device, according to a study by the American Affluence Research Center. Among those with multiple devices, the majority are males under 59 with more than $200,000 in income. This shows that "mobile offers great potential as a relatively low-cost and effective method for communicating with consumers, and in some situations, it can be an enabler of sales," said Ron Kurtz, the center's president.
