Reports that Panasonic is stopping research and development on plasma televisions appear to be exaggerated, and Geoffrey Morrison is sorry to see the market for high-quality plasma TVs dwindle away. "Let me be perfectly clear: the end of plasma production, without a suitable replacement, is a bad thing for any picture quality fan, regardless of technology preference," he writes.
