Christie rejects bill to set up oversight of Sandy rebuilding

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has vetoed a bill calling for new oversight of how federal aid to repair the damage caused by superstorm Sandy is spent. "While I thank the sponsors for their efforts, and for sharing in my commitment to the transparent and efficient administration of Sandy recovery funding, this bill would produce unnecessary redundancies and waste government resources," Christie wrote in his veto message.
