Congress passes bill to end FAA-imposed flight delays

The Senate has passed a bipartisan bill that seeks to end furloughs of air traffic controllers that began Monday and led to flight delays at airports across the U.S. The measure later passed the House. The bill allows the Federal Aviation Administration to transfer airport improvement funds to stop the furloughs and also the closures of control towers at smaller airports.
